The new PapaBlues site has been live for a few days now, and it seems to be working OK. I have already had a few people complaining about gigs and images and stuff, which is good, as it menas you are reading! And the ability to track back old gigs and bands and stuff also seems to be used, I'm really happy about that. Let me (

) know if you like what you see here, and how stuff works. And if there is something you don't like, then tell me that also. One thing I know about is that when gigs are displayed, I open only the most recent tab. As of now, by year end, this means that gigs for 2009 are shown, not the last gigs in 2008, to see these, they are an extra click away. This is only an issue by year-end though, so I'll leave it alone for now. I have seen one or two slight performance issues, and today I tuned the database system a bit, and I also took some extra measurements to speed things up, but in this instance, there is more to do. 2009 is here with us now, and I have already seen a few bluesgigs, one at Akkurat with Sven Zetterberg and then the yearly Trettondagsblues at Fasching. Both good gigs, although I was more than a fair bit tired during the last of those gigs. Besides that, I'm really happy with how the site is working out. I am patching up a few missing things, but most of what I wanted to do is working as expected. I have a few missing things to cater to, like hit counters and stuff. Also, as historic gig information is now available, I'm going top add more of this to the site, although I have close to 3000 registered gigs already. So support your local blues website folks! Drop me an email if there is missing information on festivals, bands, places or whatever! /Karlsson |

I have now added a menu option with Links to other blues sites. This is part of a set of changes I am working on for the site right now. I will add a better MySPace integration for example, and some other changes around how gigs at festivals are presented. |
