Wondering why the action has been a bit slow here lately? Well, I'm getting married, so that is an activity which has taken up A LOT of my time. Also, I am the newly appointed webmaster for the Swedish MG Car Club, so that has also kept me busy. But I'll be right back, after my marrige on August 28, I will try to post some more images from Åmål and some other events.

Åmåls Bluesfest over for me for this year |

The last band (Trampled Under Foot) is still playing, but that really wasn't my cup of tea so I left early. The best gig that I saw today was probably Mud Morganfield, but there were some other good acts also, like Big Joe Louis and his Rhythm Kings and the three Chicage Blues ladies, backed by Mr Bo and the Voodooers.
Alll in all, this years festival has been good. The change to the tent went well, the weather has been great and there has been some excellent music. Too bad there was non Blues-train this year, but that was due to circumstances that the Blues Festival could not control.
And, yes, I'll be posting some shots soon!

Two days in Åmål, day 3 coming up |

It's morning July 10 2010, and I've just had breakfast here at Åmåls Bluesfest. So far, the festival has been better than expected, but not exceptionally so. Some good points is that the tent that replaced the old "storehouse" is even closer to where I am usually staying. And the settings in the tent, although smaller than before, is still good, so I am happy and the Åmål Blues Society has done an excellent job keeping the festival going, despite the fire this winter.
Last night (Friday) the #1 gig, for me at least, was Tailfragger! A great gig! Others to mentioon was Kirk Fletcher Band and Jump 4 Joy as usual, I was about to write. Ulf Sandström of Jump 4 Joy fame received the Åmål Blues Award this year by the way.
i took some photos yeasterday to be published later, and Åmåls Bluesfest was great at giving me a Photopass as usual, so I could get good access to the stages.
Take care /Karlsson |

A bunch of shots from the Dusty Road Blues Festival in Tidaholm, featuring the Harmonica Blowout with West Weston, Sven Zetterberg, Anders Lewen and others are available now! This festival was pretty good, with many good bands and a nice setting. Beer quality was way below acceptable standards though, but all in all, it was fun, but a bit cold. I hope this festival can continue next year. Also, I will publish more shots eventually!
